Anyone here know about Saint Patrick's Battalion?

    I just found out about this, & thought it was pretty interesting.

    Basically, it was during Mexico's battle against the USA in 1847, in which many Irish members of the diaspora fought with the USA. But eventually the Irish started to relate with what the Mexicans were fighting for, & then swicthed to battling with the Mexicans.

    This was something I never knew about, & I just thought I'd share it.
