    As promised earlier.
Zip contains EL34 Poweramp of H&K Triamp and 6L6 Poweramp of Mesa Triple Rectifier in Valve rectifier "spongy" mode.
Both into orange PPC412>57>Phoenix Audio DRS-Q4>Focusrite ISA220 for Hi and Lo pass.
Amps loud and DRS Pre driven.
My other cabs sounded nowhere near as good as the orange so I didn't bother saving them.
These sound much better than my previous Orange IRs.
These can be used with an amp sim with cab off or from an FX send on an amp. They already have a valve poweramp on them.
I got the mic position right using a reamped guitar track before I made the IRs.
These are really clear with the hi and lo pass on them and will certainly be my new IRs for guide tracks.

Trackmix, how are you liking the Phoenix Audio? I recently picked up a second hand Nice Di and it is an absolute beast. Just running audio through it before conversion imparts some serious transformer girth/sparkle, making stuff sound more finished. One of my better investments.

    It's great.
    I had a DRS-1 but upgraded to the DSR-Q4.
Sounds different but equally as good as my API pres.
The EQ is so nice on it. Obviously not a corrective EQ as there are fixed frequency bands and no Q but you can add air at 15K or push or pull mids and it sounds very natural rather than like an EQed signal.
As you already said the DI is killer (I have 2 channels in the DRS Q-4) and is even better with the EQ on bass. The DI actually has way too much character to take DI guitars for reamping so my BSS DI still gets used for that.
You can really gain the mic input and it just gets fatter.
Darren in studiosolutions.ie has my old DRS-1 (probably at a great price!) and would probably lend it to you to try out.

In which case I'd recommend someone with money to go and check it out ;-) Also, if anyone is in any doubt as to the difference a preamp can make I reckon it would be a good one to check out.
