    Hi,

I'm considering buying HP Pavilion dv6-1330sa laptop as a Christmas present for my husband. It looks pretty good but seeing as I know next to nothing about PCs I need help!

We would use it mainly as a desktop replacement at home for media storage, internet and schoolwork & games for our daughter. Any advice regarding both this particular lpatop and any other good value options would be greatly appreciated! My budget is €550. The HP one I'm looking ta is €549 including a 15% discount.

    Cheers!

My girlfriend has the DV6-1131ea, which is of a similar spec, but has an AMD 2.2ghz CPU a 320GB Hard Drive and dedicated graphics and is delighted with it.

What kind of games would your daughter be playing? The graphics card in that machine is not dedicated so would not be very suitable for the latest games etc.
