My Ipod has deleted all my music, I have an 8 GB touch but it is only showing 4GB free but there is no music in the folder.

I haven't synced it with my computer and I have restarted it a few times but without any luck. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Is there anything else on your ipod? Movies, apps etc. When you connect to itunes it should show at the bottom of the screen color coded how much space is taken up by each section,.

Thanks for the reply... when i go into Itunes it just shows a menu with featured/top 10/search/podcasts/downloads. I don't have many apps and no movies all I had on it was music really, I can't see where they show how much space is taken up. When i go into Settings and goto 'about' it says songs = 0 capacity = 7 gb and available = 3.5 gb.

Click on the ipod icon on the left, it should show a bar along the bottom of the itunes screen,
this gives a breakdown of apps/data/music/videos

The best option is probably wipe it all, restore factory settings, then re-sync
