Short term deposits

    Hi there,

    Just trying to do an exercise for a client to show them how much they could earn putting some spare capital on short term deposit but cant remember for the life of me how to work it out. Been so long since clients had spare capital.

    is it the following;

    1,000,000 on two week at a base 1 +39 points =

    1,000,000 X 1.39% =

    13,900 divided by 365 multiplied by 14

    = 533.15

    is that right

    - 25% DIRT

    = €399.86

    is that right

    Should be able to do a bit better than 1.39% methinks - 2.8% currently available on demand from Anglo
