Getting to grips with it, settings and updates, software installation etc. So early stages yet to tell if the choice was right. I don't play games on it so it should be fine.

Just want to say thank you to all you helpful people out there. It's great to be a part of Boards.ie!!:D

And I have decided to get the other Acer laptop fixed in the new year, swap with my mum whom i had already given my first and older laptop, but she is having trouble getting online wit it so will give her the Acer, and I keep Packard Bell for backup!!

I also took out extra warranty -seeing as im accident prone to breaking screens:D I thought it might come in handy even if its only used for the PC Health Check once a year!!

Thanks again for all your tips and advice,:)

Hey mumof2, or anyone who might be able to answer my question. I got a toshiba l450d yesterday but I can't get any decent volume from the speakers.

Did you have the same problem or do you know how to improve the volume? I've gone into the control panel and have volume at 100% but its still difficult to hear.

    Thanks
