My daughter is a student and works part time weekends. She pays no tax. She now finds she has been under paid for 2 years and is owed approx. 1500-2000 euro. What are the implications for prsi if she receives this in the current tax year?

The back pay is for 2 years ago so it will be dealt with in the years it was meant to be received. It will not be deal with in the current year.

Did she receive a P45 when she finished working partime? If so a supplementary P45 will have to be completed for the years in question and submitted into Revenue for her by the employer. The employer will also have to amend their P30 for those years to included the amount extra and declare of any tax or PRSI should have been paid. :)
