Sports highlight's from non obvious source

Let me explain - RTE will show (channel) five highlights of a match rather than say tv3 or 3e.
tv3 will use BBC highlights rather than RTE. tv3 could show highlight's of Barcalona game not from Sky Sports but BBC use Sky.

RTE will use espn instead of 3e or s4c instead of Setanta Ireland. Is it just a case of money or the fact they have a choice and RTE wont use tv3 if they can avoid it and vice versa.

five is a very strange choice when you think about the trouble over Home & Away between them and RTE.

Yeah I notice this. Wimbledon is on TG4 but even when they have the commentary in Irish in the background both RTÉ and TV3 will give BBC the credit! And Tour De France is aways from Eurosport!

Since 3e have only shown a few matches I will give RTÉ benefit of the doubt that they didn't know they were showing it.

I think it is a bit of avoidance. Irish Broadcasters need to get real and support each other, you would think that they are UK channels the way the act sometimes.
