Other than the Micra jokes, is this car overpriced by much? And if so by how much?I text the chap who owns it and he said the mileage is around 85000 http://www.gumtree.ie/dublin/26/49492526.html

Also any other thoughts on it welcome

That is one poorly presented advert. Poor photos and vague description. Gives me the impression that the seller has very little interest, could give you an indication of how the car was looked after.

Here is a 2001 which I am sure you could knock a bit off the asking price and it will come with some sort of warranty:

I would agree. The advert gives you an insight into the owner's interest in the car. They couldn't evey be bothered to type the add in English which suggests that they couldn't have been bothered maintaining it.

Thanks for the replies. The car you sent there, I don't think I'd have enough money to buy it. I think the most I'd have is around 1,200.

why not give it a try... ring the garage, or if it near you call into them...
it is better if you call in....
tell salesman outright... your interested and would they take 1200 for it..
whats the worst that can happen???? they say no...... whast the best that can happen.. they say yes to clear it off the forecourt

March is just the name used in Japan for the Micra we get here.

The March and Micra have lots of non-compatible parts. They look the same but they're not.

Fcuk it. Right I know there's a lot of threads here lately asking for help and I appreciate all the help I get so thanks again for that. But going to try change this is a bit.
I'm looking to buy me 1st car, have at most I'd say 1200 to spend. Don't want anything that's more than 1.2 and something that looks alright and is reliable.

I'd say go for a look at the Colt, the Micra you posted earlier is in the same Dealership. You could check them both out there sure! And, you'd probably get them for 1200 CASH

Seriously, like already said you don't know until you ask. Depends on the dealer situation what he can leave it go for.

I'd also have a close look at a Fiesta. 1.25 Zetec engine is reliable and cheap to run
