Saw this advertised after Thursday's 'Misfits'.. but missed it completely!

Was chuffed to see it's available to watch on 4oD or the 4oD YouTube channel. For those who don't know what it's about:
American Todd Margaret (David Cross) bluffs his way into an apparently great job opportunity, heading up the sales team in his employer’s London office. All he has to do is sell several thousand energy drinks before his boss visits him in a week. Simple. Apart from the fact that he knows nothing about British culture and nothing about sales. This is further complicated when he lies continuously to cover his ignorance and spectacularly fails to impress Alice the first beautiful girl he meets. [RDF Media via /film]
It stars David Cross (from 'Arrested Development', 'Mr Show' etc), Will Arnett ('Arrested Development', '30 Rock' etc.), Spike Jonze (director of 'Where The Wild Things Are', 'Adaptation' and 'Being John Malkovich') and Russell Tovey (standout star of BBC3's 'Being Human').

The pilot was written by Cross and Shaun Pye (an English actor and comedian who people will most likely known from 'Extras' as the fellow Extra who always wanted to get one up on Andy and got more frequent and better work than him).

Anyways.. with all this going for it, it has to be worth a look!

    Watch here!

I caught about twenty mins of this when it was broadcast on four the other night. It was middle of the road, nothing special but watchable all the same.

    Christ.. it was barely watchable!

Such a promising cast and it was all very average..

I was really disappointed with it, the cast is amazing but other than that I wouldn't have watched until the end.

The premise is not particularly original, but it could have been done much better. It's almost as if they got so excited about the cast that they didn't bother to improve the script.

Started well and fizzled out really quite quicly. Disappointing what with the cast involved. Looked like it could've been shot in a day.

    Bump for this!

This is getting a 6 episode series in the US starting September 20th on Fox (and another US station IFC on October 1st).

    Trailer

They're kept Sharon Horgan but Russell Tovey has jumped ship, and his replacement is Blake Harrison (Neil) from 'The Inbetweeners'.

    More details on it here!

Watched the C4 pilot last year and wasn't impressed.

As far as I know, it's the same pilot with a cast change or two - replacing Russell Tovey (George in Being Human) with Blake Harrison (Neil from The Inbetweeners).

Original thread on the UK pilot here

Watched this last night.. it's the same pilot as on C4 alright.

One thing that really irritated me was when Blake Harrison was cast.. I thought "now what will he bring to the role" - the answer? Absolutely nothing. He simply emulates George Tovey's performance in the original pilot.. and I didn't think he was as likeable, although George Tovey is a class act, so they're hard boots to fill.

    I'll watch another few episodes.

New show with 2 of the lads from Arrested Development and Neil from the Inbetweeners.

Only watched 1 episode so far but it was quite funny, will definitely be downloading the rest. Anyone else watching it?

PS. The 2 same boys from Arrested Development are in another new show 'Running Wilde'. Only saw the 1st episode of that as well but preferred this the humour in this one.

I've watched four episodes and overall the show is just OK. David Cross and Wil Arnett are great but the show itself I could take or leave. As for Running Wilde, I thought it was pretty crap compared to Arrested Development, only watched a couple of episodes but that was enough.

I'm surprised this got a second season considering how poorly publicised and received it was. I kind of liked it though, so am happy it's coming back.

    I found this unwatchable.

I'd love to elaborate but I think I've actually said everything.

Was season two not already on? I could have sworn I watched two series of this.

It is about time they showed Series 2 in the UK, the Americans had it over a year ago. Channel 4 must have lost interest.

It was a curious, but interesting, mess from start to finish. The cast list was stellar (Both American and British/Irish), and it is enjoyable in parts, but it never really found it's legs.

That's mad. I didn't think there was any chance of it being revived, particularly after
Todd started World War 3 at the end of the last episode.
    .

I watched Todd Margaret again and liked it better second time around. It has it's faults but their was a charm to the programme.

I didn't even know they were making a S3! I liked it to a point, but it all got very crap very quickly in S2.
