Why cant the Grant people understand the grant process fully???/

I'm just sooooo disappointed with the grant people. When I first went to them for advice I was greeted with no you wouldn't be entitled to it then when I proved them wrong they tried to find another reason why I wouldn't be enetitled to it. They are not there to help people they are there to disheaten people as much as possible as far as I can see.

After many months now I've finally got word on my grant and I'm getting a smaller amount than I have calculated. I'm certain they have got it wrong yet again!! Why is that I have to educate myself so much on this subject in oder to prove to them that I AM entitled to it????
Its heart breaking Frustrating and just soooooo disappointing that when it comes to these civil servants that I have to do all the leg work constantly to prove them wrong.

Why oh why can't they do an honest job and help people. As opposed to saying no no no when they don't even understand their job fully.... Its disgraceful!

Yeah I know what you mean. The only thing I can think of is that remember you can appeal the Council's decision to the Dept. of Education if you're unhappy with it. But yeah, you sometimes have to fight an incredible amount for what is a tiny bit of money.
