Here you go folks, earlier than usual as I think they are off to Iraq this week.
    WWE Smackdown/ECW TV taping report
    November 29, 2009
    Hampton, Va.
Report by Edezal Carr, PWTorch VIP member

Dark match: Kaval (Low-Ki) defeated Paul Burchill (w/Katie Lea) with a top rope double foot stomp.

    ECW Results for Tuesday's show

The Abraham Washington Show started the taping with Zack Ryder and Rosa Mendes as the guests. Awful skit that ended with Zack jumping on Abe's couch ala Tom Cruise on Oprah talking about Katie Holmes.

    (1) Goldust defeated William Regal with a rollup. Regal was distracted by a shoving match between Ezekiel Jackson and Kozlov on the outside.

ECW GM Tiffany was in the back with Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta, who will debut next.

    (2) Caylen Croft & Trent Barreta won a squash.

Vance Archer did an interview, but it was hard to hear the backstage skits and interviews.

Shelton Benjamin was playing Smackdown vs. Raw for Xbox when Christian came in to talk about their match at the TLC PPV. They talked about "stealing the show" again.

    (3) Shelton Benjamin & ECW champion Christian defeated Ezekiel Jackson & Kozlov after Shelton hit Pay Dirt on Kozlov. Zeke abandoned his partner leading to the finish. Regal and Kozlov closed the show discussing what happened.

    Superstars Results for Thursday's show

    (1) The Hurricane defeated Zach Ryder (w/Rosa Mendes) by disqualification after Paul Burchill attacked Hurricane under a mask. Looks like the superhero vs. supervillain feud is continuing.

    (2) Dolph Ziggler defeated Matt Hardy with a counter to the Twist of Fate. Decent match. Surprise ending. Afterwards, Matt really sold the loss as devastating.

    Smackdown Results for Friday's show

    (1) R-Truth defeated CM Punk via DQ after Luke Gallos (a/k/aFestus) interfered.

    (2) Kane defeated Mike Knox with a chokeslam.

    (3) Mickie James beat Natalya and Beth Phoenix in a triple threat match to become #1 contender to the Women's Title. Women's champion Michelle McCool and Layla came to ringside to watch. Mickie won after Beth gave Natalya the GlamSlam and Mickie covered Natalya herself. Afterwards, Mickie confronted McCool and Layla, who jumped Mickie until Maria made the save.

    (4) Drew McIntyre beat IC champion John Morrison in a non-title match with his double underhook DDT finisher.

Vickie Guerrero came to the ring to the most crowd reaction thus far and the most heel heat for the night. I could barely hear what she was saying. She called out Eric Escobar for an apology. He came out and did a fake apology bit, so she booked a handicap match with the Hart Dynasty.

    (5) Hart Dynasty (D.H. Smith & Tyson Kidd w/o Natalya) beat Eric Escobar in a handicap match using a springboard Hart Attack. Vickie slapped Escobar after the match. Unbelievable live reaction for Vickie.

C.M. Punk and Luke Gallos did an interview.

    (6) Unified tag champions Chris Jericho & Big Show beat Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard & JTG) when Big Show KO'ed Shad with the right hand punch. That was all Shad and Big Show did in the match. Jericho and JTG worked the whole thing.

Earlier, there was a backstage skit with Teddy Long and Batista where a street fight between Batista and Rey Mysterio was announced for next week.

At the end of the show, World Hvt. champion The Undertaker came out, but he was attacked in the aisleway by Batista with a chair. They took it to the ring where Batista spinebustered Undertaker on the chair then posed with the World Title. That ended the Smackdown tapings, which brought us to the dark main event.

Dark match main event: World Hvt. champion The Undertaker defeated C.M. Punk and Batista when Undertaker tombstoned Punk. After the end of the Smackdown taping, Punk's music hit and out he walked out as only the heel Punk can. Punk and Batista took turns on Taker including Punk hitting the Go To Sleep, but they eventually turned on each other. Suddenly, Jericho's music hit and he ran to the ring. Then out came Kane. Kane chokeslammed Batista while Taker chokeslammed Jericho simultaneously. Taker then finished Punk with a Tombstone. Kane chased the heels to the back to leave Taker in the ring to do his pose routine to end the night.

Looks like Drew McIntyre is going for the IC title and a feud with Morrison - bye bye Ziggler

Whats the point in bringing back Maria?

SD seems to be going downhill, looks like another poor episode with an awful ending.

McIntyre going for the IC Title is good. Let's hope WWE won't pull the plug on him like Ziggler and Swagger.

What's going on with Escobar/Vickie?? He'll prob be back in FCW in a few weeks again

    Trent Beretta & Caylen Croft?
Anyone remember them doing dark matches?

Can't wait for Low Ki to get on the full roster..Apparently the crowd was really into his kicks.

Did you watch Smackdown last week after reading the spoilers?

Based on last week spoilers don't do the show justice a lot of the time.

Escobar looked decent last week and it wouldn't surprise me to see him going face with the whole Vickie thing.

Yeah, I watched it and it was so-so compared the past few weeks. Sky made a mess of the show due to a Jeff Hardy DVD bit. Punk's promo with Luke was good as well as Y2J/Taker and Batista/Kane.

Yeah the mess up was really odd and didn't help the way the show came off.

I didn't read the full smackdown spoilers as I want to keep something for Friday.

But the superstars matches caught my eye. Burchill under a mask is a cool idea. Reminds of the Conquistadors.

Ziggler and Hardy would be a good IC title feud.

I wonder if ECW will finally be the place to elevate Shelton? He can be a very exciting in ring guy and if WWE ever brought mangers or valets back he could do be a brilliant face.

Should be interesting what they do with Croft & Barreta on ECW. They showed some charisma anyway in the bit with Tiffany, and the theme music.. well, it stands out.

    Hmm Spoilers are stupid.

sorry guys but they are. They did smackdown no justice yet again.

Smackdown was pretty good. Punk had a good match with truth. The Gallows and Punk beat down was very good and Punk does a great job leading the duo.

Later on Festus spoke and did a nice Promo. Punk did a very good promo with him. Is Punk going to get a faction?

Speaking of Promo's Jericho did a very good promo building up the TLC match.

Knox v Kane didn't really do much but no harm in keeping Kane strong after his No 1 contenders match.

The triple threat Diva's match was very enjoyable. They worked well together. The after match promo from Mickie came across well and full of passion. Nice way to bring Maria back.

The Morrison v Drew match was very good for a TV match and had a very well considered ending. Helped Jo mo stay strong but make Drew look good too.

Escobar could really get over with Vickie's help. Escobar's handicap mathc went pretty well and made him look okay. I wonder if Vickie is going to team up with the Hart Dynasty.

Jerishow v Cryme Tyme served its purpose well.

The ending was good and makes sense to me. Keeps Batista strong, builds up the PPV match and helped me wnat to see Taker kick lumps out of Batista.

All the women's match did for me was make me want to see Beth v Natalya at Wrestlemania.

I'm not sure the crowd will want to cheer for Escobar. Hopefully Vickie can help this. He could do with a partner to feud with the Dynasty.

If the womens amcth made you want to see a diva's match at mania it was well worth having on smackdown. It would be an interesting match to watch.

I don't get why the crowd respond to Vickie but if escobar gets over it would be a hell of a lot down to the response she gets from the audience.

I wouldn't surprised to see another wrestler added to the fued, perhaps Primo could be drafted, he was a partner in FCW (I think). I did consider Matt Hardy but maybe he will be helping R-Truth out?

that he was. The Puerto Rican nightmares iirc, former 3 time FCW tag champions and 1 time BH draft pick :)

Well I knew the answer but hoped you might be able to remind us of your draft pick;)

Never mind Jericho, Vickie is the best in the world at what she does.
