Don't know if this is the right forum or not, but anyone know where I could pick up a reasonable priced tux in Dublin CC?

Decided I may as well buy one as I've a few things to go to that I'll need one for, so renting would be a waste.

Any suggestions (preferably for cheap enough ones!! lol) would be most appreciated!

    Cheers :)

BlackTie (Fairview, Dublin) are having a sale of their older (ex-rental) stock. I don't know if thats across the whole of the franchise or just local to them. Nor do I know prices.
M&S were also selling Tuxs recently and should still have some.
Failing that I'd try Harliquin (Near the Geroges Arcade Market) for a second hand one.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

There's plenty of sales with evening jackets around these days - Sale prices are about 299, but you're not getting anything too special for that. I think a tux comes in about 100 quid to rent these days, so if you planned on wearing it more than 3 times a year, then go for it.

Also, I was reading that M&S do indeed have some nice stock in, including a fantastic looking white dinner jacket that I'd never wear - I think it was 100 pounds, which ain't too bad.

If you're going for something second hand *and* good quality, try midnight blue instead of black. Generally, the cheaper ones you'll find are just black.

There's a place up the lane off South Anne's St.I have not bought anything there and so cannot offer much of an opinion on it. I really don't know what the prices are like, but it would be the sort of place where there might be a deal to be done. I think it is called the Tux Warehouse

?? Really? Well, I'm guessing they'll certainly have what I'm after, and I literally work around the corner on Duke Lane...

Well I just thought I'd update the thread.

I went to 'The Suit & Tux Warehouse' just off Anne's Lane (off St Anne Street) and bought a tux.

Got Tux (jacket & trousers), dress shirt, bow tie, and the leg taken up for €149.

Pretty good deal if you ask me - they're doing a special on their tux's at the moment.
