***Potentially significant SPOILERS, don't read unless you don't want the plot points of both films spoiled.***
Details about the plots for Marvel’s Thor and The Avengers movies have been leaked online, according to reports.

It is unclear how accurate both plot breakdowns are, but it appears that the information was first published on Ain’t It Cool, then later taken down.
Those that read the original article are claiming that, in Kenneth Branagh’s Thor,
the God of Thunder is cast out to Earth by his evil brother Loki after the villain kills their father Odin, played by Anthony Hopkins.

He lands in a desert where he is discovered by a PhD cosmology student (Natalie Portman) and her Norwegian professor (Stellan Skarsgard), who were on their way to study a strange cloud in the cosmos.

The script allegedly closes with an epic battle between Thor and Loki.

The Avengers's plot details suggest that Loki doesn’t die, as he returns in this film to brainwash the Hulk, forcing Thor, Iron Man and Captain America to team up and take him down.

Not too hot on them killing off Odin but it sounds awesome. Even in the animated films battles involving Thor are always done so well, so I can't imagine what Branagh could pull off between not only Loki and Thor on the big screen, but in The Avengers too up aginst the Hulk. Anyone ever see the short film Thor -v- Hulk? You could almost feel the pummeling that Thor takes. Can't wait. :D
