Okay, recently moved into an apartment which has a hob with hotplates similar to the above. Now, I've only ever used the glass type hobs before, and they were grand to clean. Okay, recently moved into an apartment which has a hob with hotplates similar to the above. Now, I've only ever used the glass type hobs before, and they were grand to clean. This new hob however, I don't have a clue about. Tried some cillit bang (I think) degreaser, and nothing. All that happened was fluff from the j-cloth got all over the hob.

So any advice on how to properly clean these would be greatly appreciated.
