Are you looking for a shop that sells them or are you looking to buy one second hand?

I'm not sure what brands are out there.
The other peeps here will know more than me.

A more important question might be how much money
are you willing to spend for yourself!

"The Real Sword" one which I wanted, but nobody
could get any in stock at time of release.
(I should have pre-ordered from abroad at the time)
There was only a limited number of these sold and
at the time they are about 600-700 USD and you may not
have even got a scope with it for that price.

There was another brand that was Auto that around the1000 USD
price region to purchase I don't remembe the brand
but it was permanently out of stock on all shops across the world.
I think there was a King Arms Brand about about 700 USD but its discontinued.

There were was some springer too (I dont recall the make) that someone
on this board from Northern Ireland was once trying to sell with scope.
Not sure if it ever sold I was very tempted at the time.

There is the A&K SVD which is a springer only for about 150 Euros,
stick a wood kit onto it instead of the black plastic and it looks well.

There are one or two brands which try to mimic an SVD by using an AK body
and sticking a stock and handguard onto it.

I've got an A&K SVD its single fire springer but boy is the accuracy nice out of the box without
any modifications, and the trigger is very light too. Think they were about 160 Euros at the time
and an extra 95ish for a wood kit.

you have a few options, mentioning svd and full auto in the same sentence generally points to someone not looking for an accurate replica so the JG will more than likely be what your looking for but i will give you the list :)

real sword svd - semi auto only, best replica on the market, 600usd + with the next batch having been released (version 2 has improved tapet plate and a switch to un lock your gearbox if it locks up in semi )

classic army svd - semi auto only, seem solid have not seen much information or review, most people went for the real sword

a&k svd - spring single shot, very good value clone of the know discontinued kings arms/A&Z svd

G&P svd - semi auto, gbb, lovely eternally, crap internally with shocking performance and no hope up for the price

JG SVD - full auto, not really an svd, its an ak with a hand guard barrel ands stock kit, takes normal ak mags, if your looking for an accurate replica stay away, if you just want a look alike then you can normally pick them up cheap second hand on the adverts

    Hi Bullets,

Where did you get the wood kit out of interest? Thanks. :)

Lads from eirsoft.ie got me one.

If you get one be careful with the screws that come with
the kit, Its easy to use the wrong ones that may still fit and be left
with the last two screws not fitting in the last two holes!

Also The Wood Kit ones need to be used with the wood kit,
the original screws on the A&K that are on the plastic stock wont fit
the wood. (and dont forget to put the butt plate from the plastic stock on the
end of the wood stock! (on my pics I had forgot at the time)

I reckon best bet is start with the Butt plate first! and use the screws
that screw the metal butt plate into the wooden stock first.
(Then worry about the internal screws!)

I still need to age everything to get rid of the orange look and the new
black metal look, but I'm in no rush, Must get a scope first and worry
    about the looks then.

Yeah I think i'll go for the jg version my budget is around €220, and I really wanted the full auto, I don't mind if its not 100% authentic. I wouldn't mind buying second hand as long as its in good condition

got the gun, though i have to say so far i'm not overly impressed. one of the internal hex screws is somewhat worn, so while all the screws came out perfectly, this one won't, leaving it pretty much impossible to fit the new wood stock. also, the metal clasp that holds in the foregrip is made of incredibly cheap metal, mine actually snapped when i put it back in...other than that its grand, the accuracy is great, feels great...just don't like the plastic stock/guard!

Finally got that screw sorted, with a lot of hassle, but the wood kit solves the other problem of the broken clasp, as its such a tight fit that it's basically locked in place anyway. Didn't have the screw problem with the battleaxe either, could interchange the hex/diamond heads ones without any problem, the BA ones are all the same length too. Gun comes apart completely effortlessly, top marks for that.

Now, the only problem being I've got a regular AK rail, so it's a bit high, but all in all, pretty happy. :)
