The internals of their EBR are rock solid and reliable. I havent seen this new one in the flesh but from experience with their other M14s and P90s etc, I would expect it to be as good.:)

I had the pleasure of messing with the EBR - its an EPIC piece of kit. I assume the SOCOM is just as good.

Hate to disagree with the others, but the kart is the worst if the chinese m14s... they have internals issues, and the externals leave something to be desired.... agm is a safer bet tbh. I've never seen a good kart... and that EBR weighs a stupid amount.

Kart m14s, slash, any product ive seen by them has been dodgy internally... They use some non tm compatable parts, and the semi/auto cutoff levers like to break and stay full auto for ever. I don't know what relation a p90, by them or anyone else has to this, because its a different gearbox design, and a NEWER model. The Kart M14 design is roughly 3 years old now... and hasnt been changed since its original... sub par conception. The best of the m14s on the market from chinese makers i'd say, are the CYMAs, followed quite... distantly... by the agm, then the KART last.

All the Karts ive had to work on have been nothing but trouble.... Hell, people over in the UK bought the EBR and JAE stocked kart m14s, ripped the internals out an put Cymas and tms inside them...

    Sorry, Your Wrong.

Even my own M14 started life as a Kart build, So i have personal experience with them, aswell as those that come across my desk from time to time.

Recomending the AGM over it makes me wonder if you've ever even seen either. thats has a "guarenteed to fail" trigger contact/fire select system.

Kart all the way Tim, :) I'll be picking up a KART EBR myself now, thanks to Modern Warfare 2. :D

Ah, the ’ur rong’ game.... what a suprise. Look, I TOO have personal experience, and 'have had them across my desk' stop pulling rank... you're not the only person with experience. The fact i rate agm higher shows how little i think of these...

I had the Kart M14 EBR version and loved it but sold it to a guy here on boards because I hurt my neck a while back and couldnt handel the weight of it after that.

My experieance of the kart is generaly good, when I got mine I had to change the spring because it was firing over the limit. They can be difficult to dismantle but you do get there in the end. Internally there fine except for a few small issues. I didn't like the look of the fire selector fork, its made of a clear plastic and does look like it could break but in saying that I still didnt have any probs with it. Didn't like the nylon gears either but it is a Chinese clone and you get what you pay for. One thing I will say is the hopup is complete crap, I only replaced the rubber and that did sort the problem but a good hopup unit would be a better job. Gears and piston are fine but I didn't like the tappet plate because it was that clear plastic again but still never gave any problems. The trigger mec if my memory servers me right has a clear plastic plate/housing and works perfect, the plastic here wouldnt bother me because its under no real strees.

So there you go, all in all I loved my and will probably get one again when I better. There not the best but there not the worst, you get what you pay for and what you pay for one of these is not a whole lot so they are worth it.

You wont find nylon bushings in the later ones. they have solid 7mm bushings, but i agree on taking it apart, jayzuz theres an awful lot of pieces. :D

Good to hear they sorted the busings. Btw, I should have said Busings and not Gears, dont know where my head is today.

Took me 3 hours just to take it apart and I cant even rember how long it took to put the jigsaw back together:o

I had one brought into me in a bag once, with a ziplock bag full of screws. I started hating them from there on., lol. :D

I wonder if some people got lemon Kart M14s... Shanes one went through a LOT of abuse yet refuses to break, I probably dropped it ten times in two minutes due to no sling!

Your 'omg you're trying to make poor innocent me argue' routine doesnt cut it either... if you want to discuss something, atleast use fact, not whining about arguments.

We have different experiences, Deal with it. It doesnt mean either of us is right, it just means its not the same...

Mcshape: Look, I've said what i've said... The ones ive worked on, and seen, and owned have been frankly rubbish. This is just my experience. Don't take it as gospel, take it as another view to the greater picture.

Okay guys, here's a prime example of how **** between you two childishly excalates when it really doesn't need to.

Insinuates that Firekitten has no personal experience with said equipment. In other words, pours petrol on a small flame. Guaranteed to rile her up and start off an arguement

Predictable response given the content of the above post. Should have reported Masada's post rather than post this.

Again, should have reported the post rather than type this. It's passive aggressive. It may seem all nicey nicey, softly softly, but it pours even more petrol on that flame.

I'll give you one thing Kitten, at least you don't hide your argumentativeness behind passive aggressive posts. But again, you should have still just reported before posting this. Actually I don't think you reported a single post in any of this.

I know you two aren't children, so there's no excuse for this kind of behavior. Sadly, I can't put you both on a naughty spot/take away your pocket money/give you coal for christmas - But I can perma ban. And this is exactly where this could lead if it continues the way it is. You've both been really really good since the last incident - keep it that way. (You might even get a lollypop)

So next time one starts to rile the other up, report it.

And if you do report it, don't think it also gives you free reign to throw in a little jab, even if it does have the facade of niceness.

I hope I've made my point.

Now in fairness to the person who started this thread, I'm not going to lock it. But I would rather if the two of you didn't post in it again.

I have a Kart M14 EBR, absolutely lovely gun. Although I have never opened it up, but thats because it never gave me a reason to. Nothing has ever broken in it. And in my opinion nothing needed upgrading. I was very happy with the gun. Only reason I'm getting rid of mine is I need cash :(.

    Stop causing hassle McShape :p

Well lo and behold. Despite it refusing blatantly to break under stress, this morning another friends EBR broke. He dropped it, threw it, let it get wet... Treated it like **** for the first week. It was absolutely grand. Then he started cleaning it, firing it, cleaning it and treating it like his first-born for the next three months after realizing it was rather tough. Then it broke one day- somehow something shorted out or somehow broke and the motor burnt out after overheating, melting some wires coating

    just got one of these off Boards, while the external hardware is quite cheap, the rubbberised OD stock is a nice touch {literally}
Was at a shoot today in ADA in dundalk, was nearly not going to use it but after a quick skirmish I am glad to report the rate of fire is serious but the distance and stability of the round is quite amazing out of the box with no hop-up adjustment,
It did jam several times but this was easy to remedy, by the way it was second hand a bog standard, All in all I find it better than my Proline M4
A good gun but external metal is really poor.

    Hi,
just read your comment about the fire selector on the kart M14 i.e. it breaks and stays fully automatic for ever!
Well it just happened to me! Any idea on how to sort it out? I can only use it in certain games now.
any help would be most appreciated
    John
