    Hi there,

I can get a Dell Inspiron 15 with vista for the same money as a compaq with Windows 7,

    the Dell has Intel® Celeron® Processor 900 (2.20 GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB with 2mb ram

or other dell option Intel® Celeron Dual Core T3000 (1.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 1 MB L2 Cache) with 4mb ram

and the compaq AMD SEMPRON M100 2GHZ PROCESSOR again 2mb ram

what would you choose? reliability being important

    cheers

sorry just to clarify, I rushed my original post, I'd rather have vista on a better quality laptop than windows 7 on a not-so-good laptop

Is HP tech support any better/worse than dell?

and if anyone can point me to a better laptop for under 400eur I'd gratefully appreciate it

    thanking you kind people:)
