Not cancelled, but ratings have taken a big slide, so who knows what will happen come the end of the year..

It went on hiatus after about mid way through season 1 for a retool, came back stronger. Has it fallen apart again?

nobody I know (in RL) is watching Fringe. I keep trying to get them onto it but the somewhat slow first season left them disinterested.

Like others, it's a shame, because the show has really picked up a lot of steam this season.

My sister had no intention of watching it. I finally convinced her to watch it but gave her intsructions to stick with it through the first 10 episodes even if she's not liking it. She thought it dragged a bit at the start but as soon as it picked up and the pattern story developed then she was hooked. She's up to date now and loves it.

Nope, its arguably gotten better. One of the most underrated shows on atm imo. Really surprised at how good it has turned out, after the mediocre-ish pilot. Anna Torv was awful in that, but has come a long way!

Fringe is brilliant, love the program, definitely the most under rated TV program.

    No hiatus AFAIK.

Most US network serials have 22 episodes and run from Sept to June. They break for holidays in the states and return.

We are just used to seeing them straight through because most TV channels used to buy in programming and not show it until Jan of the following year.

Note that Glee will be starting soon on TV3, it may take a break if it starts before Christmas but it won't take the long break that it is take over in the States.

Really 24 has started this idea of having programming as the Americans get it (also downloads). RTÉ and the BBC both ran 24 without a break from Jan to June in its first year, hence why the US have gone that direction because you can't really break 24 up, same goes for LOST hence the reason why they aren't starting until January 2010 and Feb 2010.
