Hi just looking for some info. My cousin had sex today and the condom split and wants to get the morning after pill. I personally havent a clue about it so can someone tell me how long she has to take the pill and is it available without a prescription or has she to go to the doctors first ? Thanks for all replies.

She has to see a dr and get a perscription and the sooner the better as while there is a 72 hour window from when she has sex the longer she waited the less effective it can be.

Go asap. As above said, it only works in a 72 hour window and the sooner you take it the more effective it will be! You can get it from your doctors or from a family planning clinic.
If finding it difficult to get an appointment at either, explain on the phone the situation and they should fit you in for an emergency appointment.
