Buying a 2nd hand ipod touch?

    Is there any issues with buying a 2nd hand ipod touch?

    I have an ipod video, think its a 20gb but a friend is offloading his 32gb touch so it's available at a decent price to myself so I might grab it.

    Now the iTunes I have is set up for the classic of course, will there be many problems using an ipod touch with this? Particularly if I wanted to get apps etc. from the iTunes store or will everything go relatively smooth?

    I have barely even used an ipod touch before so not sure if everything will go hassle free if I get it. Any opinions?

    You should have no problems as long as its in good working order. You can do a full restore when you get it which will put it back to "as new".
    You will have no problems with Apps etc., it will just be set up as a new iPod!

    it will have to be on firmware 2.2.1 before you can get apps

    As far as I know its only about 6 months old and has a number of app's already installed on it so i'd imagine firmware is fairly up to date.

    Don't think i'd be resetting it though - perk of buying it from a friend. Just wanted to see if there would be any hitches but sounds like it should go smoothly.
