strange ps3 problem

heres my problem

what's with the blue ?

it happens some times, im not sure is it the ps3 or tv ?

but when i do reset the ps3 the colour returns to normal

what could it be ?

sounds like a prob with the ps3. fiddle around with the video settings.

what would the video settings do mate ?

80% of the time the colour is grand so I wouldnt think it has anything to do with the video settings

forgot to mention my ps3 is the slim version, not sure does that make a difference or not

try it with another game that we all know like MW2, GTA ?

Head headshot by any chance do you have a philips plasma TV. I've got the same issue on my TV. It only happens on certain games MW2/FIFA09/MW1. I figured out it was something to do with the TV. Not sure exactly what it is still but looks like to colours lose synch or something. It's annoying as hell but for me anyway has been pretty easy to fix. I just change the TV to HDMI input 2 and back to HDMI input 1 and it seems to re-synch the colour. Works everytime, well has so far and have had the issue for over a year now. Hope this helps.

ive a panasonic tv but i might try that for the craic



can someone give me sonys number, just want to ask them about the problem

I'd try it in a different TV, to see if its linked to the TV or not.

just to update this

I rang sony and they've told me I need to return it to gamestop with the receipt (which i have, phew)

my problem is iv a number of demos and games on the Hard drive which probably wont back up onto a external hard drive so what can I do ?

same problems with my trophies

any advice ?

No you keep your trophies, all the games and demo's will be in download history in the psn store, so you can DL them again. personally id jsut copy your game saves to a memory stick if you can ( some are copy protected )

isnt it a kick in the teeth the only saved game which won save for me is assassins creed 2

The blue colour happened to me yesterday on MW2 - anything that should have been red was blue - Shut down the game and started it again and it was fine.
