Hey guys, just a wee note, there are alot of threads about people getting over break ups here, and I read them avidly myself when I was going through one. I broke up a long term relationship in september, tho I didnt want to but had no choice due to my ex's behaviour. Anyway, it was awful, I couldnt stop thinking about him was so lonely and down, it was the hardest thing I went through in a long time.

I felt so silly joining clubs, and putting myself out there, contacting old friends and getting out and about again as a single person. I just thought it wasnt what I wanted and even though I was going through the motions, I didnt think I 'd ever be happy without him, or even just on my own.

But it was so worth it!

The last few weeks, I am totally back to myself! My friends are commenting on how happy I seem, my work life is great and I am actually enjoying being a single girl again!

It takes time, some longer than others, but all the advice and old cliches are true. So if anyone is feeling the way I did, there is light at the end of the tunnel
