ps3 wont read disc

when i put the game into the ps3 it tells me that its loading but nothing else hapens i can access all of my other files though any ideas

I feel your pain, this happened to me 3 weeks ago. Your blue ray disk drive is fried and if your warrenty is out all you can do is contact SCEE, get a reference number and get a refurb model. Costs about 120, one warning though the one that i got lasted for all of 2 minutes before self destructing.
Hope you have more luck than i did.
