Getting rid of grease stains?

    Hey all,

Just bought a new hoodie yesterday. And I stupidly got a few drops of grease (cooking oil) on it. Is there anyway of getting rid of those stains? I washed it already with some vanish and it didn't work.

    Bah!

    Cheers,

    Papa S

I find that if you wet the stain and then rub in liquid soap ( the kind you wash your hands with) works really well. Rub both sides of the stain well and then wash as normal.

Gonna sound stupid but it really works - rub any shampoo designed for greasy hair into the stain and then wash it in the machine and the stain will disappear like magic.

Sillyputty's tip sounds interesting - must try it myself.

I use vanish. I soak the garment for a few hours then wash it in the machine on a long cycle (as opposed to a quick wash)
