I'm pondering on whether to pay a whooping 160E to Sony for a refurbished ps3 that only has 3 months warranty! Has anybody had problems with their refurb ps3 after the 3 months warranty? I'm really dreading that if I get a refurbed ps3 it will break again after the 3 months warranty and that I'll end up coughing up another E160:o

Honestly if it were me I'd look around for a decent, cheap bundle. That way you get more games and an extra controller or two and it doesn't cost much more than the 160 quid for a refurb. Depends though if your PS3 is one of the near-launch models and you feel you'd miss the coupla features it has that are missing from the Slim.

Had one, the drive lasted 2 minutes before it died. Run a mile and get a new slim

I had one, as soon as I switched it on the fan kicked into overdrive and drowned out the sound from the t.v. Had to put the volume up to a deafening level to hear it.

I soon tired of deafening myself and traded for a slim

Stop beating up your ps3 and you won't have this problem.
