IRFU supporters club?

    Just a question about this.
I love to watch rugby, though I am more in to international rugby than following it on a daily basis so I would not follow the likes of Leinster or Munster, though I will watch the games if I know they are on.

Anyway I have yet to manage to get tickets for any international games. I know they are pretty much mostly given out through clubs etc.

The question is, does an armchair club like the IRFU supporters club actually allow me to purchase tickets? I know the site says "the opportunity" but is it likely I would get the chance or just a possibility that may never happen?

If you are quick with the click of a mouse then its not too hard to get tickets. For the past 2 years Ive managed to get tickets I want for November internationals and 6 nations.

A click of the mouse where though? Without going to scalping/touting sites.

Anyone I know that is a member seem to have no problem getting tickets. Not a member myself though so cant say from personal experience. I play with a club in Terenure so get tickets through the club.

I've been able to get tickets to pretty much any game I've wanted to with little hassle since I joined about two years ago. However when the games are moved back to Lansdowne it won't be as easy.

the tickets become available at certain times and you will be notified well in advance. Once you are in the supporters website, you'll have the option to buy tickets. No touting involved.

Oh right sorry, I thought you were suggesting you got them without being part of a club/supporters club :D
Might join then.. Great match tonight though.

**edit**Aha.. just joined and could straight away buy tickets for Ireland V Italy, well there are some other packages but Ireland V Italy will do as I can't afford to go to more than one game.
That said, I do not think I had to join to buy this ticket but ah well. There will be other games :D
