Acoustic Guitar and Musicman Axis

    Hi Everyone,

I am looking to buy an acoustic guitar, but one that has a smaller body than the normal acoustic guitars out there. I played one years ago and the size was more comparable to an electric guitar. Does anyone know the name for these type of guitars (if they are a category to themselves even).

Also Does anybody know where is the best place to get a musicman axis for a good price. Don't mind if its second hand. Preferably looking for one with a standard tremolo not a floyd rose type.

    Thanks for your help.

    Howya,
I bought a smaller guitar about 10 years ago, and I've really enjoyed playing it...though I am looking around for a bigger bodied guitar now with a full sound becasue I play regularly in a session.

    It's a HONDO Model # H21 F.

I know it was based on a southern-state USA guitar from the 1880s...it is an unusal design because it looks like a classic guitar; it has quite a wide neck and classic guitar machine heads, but it has a lovely clear sound.

    Good luck.
    d.

Theyre called either concert body or parlor guitars, most brands will have one or two.

I sold a MusicMan Axis about 2 months ago. It was about a year old and in mint condition. All i could get for it was €900. They retailed on Thomann @ €2150 at the time.

There is one on adverts at the moment for €1100, but you should get it for a grand or less. I have a MusicMan Petrucci JP6 with all the extras and it comes with a piezo pickup for some accoustic tunes, if that is your thang. The necks on MusicMan guitars are special. A lot of attention is in there, but generally i do think they are a bit over priced.
