I will be travelling to UCD from Dundalk via the train sometime next week.

So when I get to Connolly, what is the best way of getting to UCD?

    Thanks in advance!

Infrequent, and they do not arrive at the station when the train arrives - you'd be better off walking to UCD from Sidney Parade. Don't bother with the 2 or 3, even of you do go to Sidney Parade.

If your coming into Connolly, walk to O'Connell street and get either the 145, 46a/b/c/e or 10 bus. The 10 goes onto campus, the others will drop you at the main entrance.

If your train goes into Pearse, get out there, and walk down Nassau street to get any of the above buses.

from right outside trinity college, college green (end of grafton street) and accross from the LUSH shop, get a 10 bus. This will drop you right onto campus, and comes along every 10 mins approx

    1. Walk up Talbot Street towards the Spire
    2. As you reach O'Connell Street, walk right for about twenty metres
    3. Wait at the bus stop for five minutes and hop on a 10 or a 46A

This is by far your best bet. The number 2 and 3 buses are really bad services, and the walk from Sydney Parade to UCD is twice as long as that from Connolly to the Spire.

Why would he walk that far?

The 10 doesn't stop at the main gate of Trinity anymore, they've moved the stop back onto College Street... Still beside Trinity just closer to Pearse Street now...

    Thanks for all the replies.

If I plan to travel by train from Dundalk -> Connolly, and then Connolly -> Sydney Parade, can I just buy a ticket from Dundalk -> Sydney Parade, in Dundalk?

I'm not sure if this will work as there is a deal that it is €10 return from Dundalk-Dublin and this mightn't be taken into consideration if the ticket was from Dundalk-S.Parade

Its cheaper to buy two. Dundalk-Dublin, Dublin-Sydney P.

They can sell you both of these in Dundalk.

Im pretty sure it doesnt. The number 10 is your best bet.

I have made this journey many times
