    hi

I hope this is in the right place. Im hoping to go to Valencia sometime in the New Year to visit some people. Just looking into flights now.

Anyone know the easiest way to get there? Iberia seem to go from Dublin via Madrid but I'm looking into maybe flying via London or somewhere as I dont have a word of Spanish and would prefer to go via somehere like London if it was logistically possible.

Thanks very much in advance for any help

    Hi mate,

Ryanair fly direct from Dublin to Valencia, but only from July 2010 onwards

Otherwise, you could probably do Dublin - London Stansted - Valencia at almost any time of the year.

I live in Valencia and am flying to Dublin for Xmas via Stansted to get there and via Madrid on the way back, all with Ryanair and v cheap too (when I booked). Which route you might take depends which day you are travelling as VLC-STN (and I think VLC-MAD) aren't on every day. As above, direct flights are only on for the summer months these days.

You can fly from Dublin - Alicante on Ryanair and get the coach. As far as i remember the coach costs about €30 and it will bring you right to the station at Nuevo Centro, which has a Metro stop which will take you wherever you want to go.

Yes, Alicante is another option though flights tend to be a bit more expensive than from Madrid say and also as far as I know you have to get a bus (or taxi) from the airport into Alicante city before getting the coach up to Valencia.
