Honours Irish

    Hi all

    I was just wondering if anybody knows is it possible to sit the Honours irish leaving cert paper if i only start studying for it after christmas?I am thinking of doing a post grad course to become a primary school teacher but I dont have honours irish and just wondered is it possible to start in Jan through grinds or some kind of course or would I have to start it in september?

    Try posting on the fora at www.educationposts.com Be aware that there are a lot of primary post-grads unemployed and that jobs are in short supply.

    all depends on your current level - if you have good level of Irish already and have good grasp of vocabulary and grammar, it is possible but if your irish is rusty or non-existant, very very hard.

    You don't HAVE to start in Sept in order to be eligible to sit the exam next Summer, if that's what your asking.
    But, if you wanna wait until after Christmas, it will be tough, & will require serious dedication from you. It can be done though.
    Deadline to apply must be very close though, so get moving on it, if I were you.
