    Hi,

I went to Harley Street and got a price for a half tummy tuck (ie below the belly button) and lipo on the love handles and the back - £6000.

I found them brilliant in the sense that I thought I wanted a full tummy tuck you know the usual and he point blank said no.. not possible as the skin above my tummy was not loose enough and wouldn't pull down enough and said is couldn't be done.

Including flights travel accommodation after surgery care and all the extra's it was going in at €9,000.

When I got quoted in Ireland it was between 13 - 15K for exactly the same procedure. - that was only for the operation and then going back for after care..

Hope it helps. If you want to PM I can give you all the details.

There is a lot of varying stories online so be careful. I heard before that diet has a part to play in the tightening of your skin and that following a raw food diet will keep the skin tight if you don't lose weight too quickly. This is taken from a Q+A from some guy who was following a raw diet on loose skin:
Q: Do you have hanging skin?
A:My skin has been shrinking quit well. I was worried that my skin would be hanging all around my body. I have noticed that even under my arms, inner thigh's and belly seem to be tighting to the point it is still supporting my fat not yet lost. This is very good news. Once I met a woman who weighed over 500Lbs. before Bariatric surgery, and now she has skin hanging everywhere. She wants to have it removed now. Most people whom eat a Standard American Diet (SAD), and lose a large amount of weight always seem to have sagging or hanging skin around thier body. Which may lead to cosmetic surgery. Dr. Donato www.dolphindoctor.org searched everywhere for info on this subject. What he has found is that there is no documentation anywhere that proves that individuals on a SAD have skin shrinkage. Although there is plenty of documentation shown that individuals on a RAW food diet will have thier skin suck up and shrink to thier natural body mold with very little (if at all) hanging skin. Those that did have some, were able to fill the skin through building muscle mass. The studies show that a RAW food diet helps the skin come alive and bring forth its natural elastic abillity back to life. Raw food diets may help your organs rejuvinate back to when we were children and most people don't know that our skin is the largest organ of our body. I spoke to Victoria Boutenko the other day and she explained that what she has learned about skin shrinking durring weightloss is, that the Chlorophll in the greens and especially from fresh wheatgrass juice, can be responsable. So if you are losing weight be sure to have lots of Green Smoothies and drink wheatgrass everyday! This is exactly what is happening to me! Because of my natural skin shrinkage, I know I will not have to have any cosmetic surgery! YEAH!!!

There is more info here on a non raw site but it also suggest raw foods: http://www.ehow.com/how_2135049_loose-skin-after-weight-loss.html

There is a list of links to before an afters here: http://www.rawfoodinfo.com/pictures/beforeafters_main.html none of the results seem to show saggy skin, although hard to really tell in a lot of photos.

I think the main thing is to keep a good diet, replacing fat with muscle and lose weight slowly!

You're only 23 so that's a big advantage. Are you saying you were happy with your bust too before the baby or did you want cosmetic surgery before the baby too? This can all be achieved, albeit with effort, through the right diet and exercise and if you follow the right steps, you'll keep it off and aswell as being healthier overall, you'll see better long term results too. Don't forget, you have just had a baby so this is a regular occurance. Don't let stories of people with loose saggy skin get into your head. There's should be no need for surgery at all :)

At 23 your skin is young and has plenty of elasticity so should shrink back of it's own accord even after losing the 4 stone. Exercise and a good diet will be a big, big help.
