Have to go North (about half mile to Jonesboro Offie) for Heino at that price (£25) - but it's the proper 5% stuff. Coors @ £21 for 24x500ml in the same place. nice wines too - Oyster Bay Merlot 6.99.

Why do the Battle of Sainsburys at these prices??

Take the left at the Carrickdale Hotel for Jonesboro, the office licence is the far side of the village on the RHS. Signposted anyway.

In Supervalu a case of 24 Guinness Draught 500ml cans was also only €27.50. Is it worth going to the Six Counties at that price?

Is there a background to this decision; have the beer companies decided to reduce their prices hugely in order to stem the flow of shoppers to the North?

Lowering the drink prices to comparable levels to the North could be the key, given that the big attraction of the North is the ridiculously cheaper alcohol

tesco are back up to full price now 39.99 each slab! If the other stores are still doing their promotions tesco will be loosing out!
