Saw this on the paper, can't remember exact spec but fairly sure it was this one

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172718

Compaq Mini Note 110c Netbook Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 10.1 TFT, Wifi, Webcam, XP Home

    For €243

What do people reckon? Is 3 cell battery very small? Would I be better off spending an extra €50 and get a Samsung

Id imagine the battery life is the decider here ....if 1.5-2.5 hrs is enough for you go for it (but resale could be harder)a Samsung NC10 with SIX cell battery will run for 4-7 hours ...they MIGHT still be available new and are well worth paying 300 new for or 200-250 used ...'newer' Samsungs N110/130/140 are also available some maybe under 300 but they dont seem to be as well made (plastic/screen quality wise) but DO have a faster Wireless "N" card rather than "G".The 11.6 inch screen seems to be gatting popular although its a good bit bigger than the 10" that was last years 'standard' (and dearer)but at this stage its only a tiny bit smaller than a 'proper' 12" screen laptop.
I have replaced my NC10 with an 11.6 inch N510 for the extra gaming ability of its 9400 graphics card ....but at 469 euro these arent cheap...Netbooks should be cheap really otherwise.
