    Families Can Travel to Dublin for Just €20 with Bus Éireann Special Festive Fare

    Families can travel to Dublin for the fun-filled Family Day in the capital on December 8th 2009, as well as on weekends in the run-up to Christmas, for just €20 with Bus Éireann.

    The special Family Ticket enables one or two adults and up to three children under 16 to travel to Dublin return for €20 from a wide variety of major towns such as Dundalk, Navan, Naas, Trim, Mullingar, Kildare, Wicklow, Athy and Drogheda. Family Tickets usually cost more than €30 depending on distance being travelled so this offer represents a great saving in the run-up to Christmas.

    As well as on the Family Day on December 8th, Bus Éireann will also be offering the €20 Family Day return ticket to Dublin from these destinations on weekends in the run-up to Christmas. Families can travel for just €20 return to Dublin on the services below on Saturdays November 28th, December 5th, 12th & 19th, and on Sundays November 29th, December 6th, 13th & 20th.

    The Family Day, supported by Dublin City Council, will see families encouraged to avail of entertainment, cultural activities and special store discounts in Dublin city centre. Activities include discounted tours of Wax Museum Plus, choral performances, face painting and street entertainment at the Mansion House for the opening of the Live Animal Crib, and family entertainment in South King Street including stilt walkers and a balloon modeller.

    The special fare Family Tickets from Bus Éireann will be available to purchase on buses on the day of travel only. On December 8th 2009, they will be valid for travel on all the services below after 8.30am. For weekend travel, they are valid on all these services at all times.

    The special fare will be available on the following routes:

    * 100/101 Dundalk-Drogheda-Balbriggan-Dublin
    * 103/105 Ratoath-Duleek-Ashbourne-Dublin
    * 109 Navan-Dublin
    * 111/112 Trim-Dublin
    * 115 Mullingar -Dublin
    * 120 Edenderry-Prosperous-Clane-Celbridge-Dublin
    * 126 Kildare-Naas-Newbridge-Dublin
    * 130 Athy-Naas-Dublin
    * 133 Wicklow-Rathnew-Dublin

    * Special Family Fare is available from these points on the routes above.
