Just a question for anyone who knows the area: Does anyone usually set up and sell Christmas trees in Drumcondra or Glasnevin?

    Thanks.

I asked this not too long ago, there's usually a place just off the Finglas Road where it meets the Tolka river, think the road is Old FInglas Road, not sure if they're open yet though

I don't suppose you want to buy mine on Jan 7th?

Woodies on the Finglas road is the nearest place that I'm aware of. Not exactly closeby though I admit.

You can also buy online and have it delivered to you.

Thanks for the replies. It really does need to be close to central Drumcondra ('round Fagan's), as I'm vehicularly challenged.

My next option was having it delivered. Has anyone used these sites or know someone who has? There's also this one:

Haven't used them but wow, that's expensive.

They used to sell them outside St. Pats primary school, just opposite the library. That was a few years ago though, so I'm not sure if they're still around.

I'd say the hardware shop on the corner of Richmond Rd and Drumcondra Rd will be selling them (stupid not to, imo).

The hardware shop in Phibsboro apparently has them, and I bought one today in Woodies on the Finglas road, not far from the main gate of Glasnevin Cemetery. 38 euro.
    it smells like CHRISTMAS :D

Well I've actually decided to give these guys a go: www.christmastreecompany.ie

I'll give full feedback once the tree arrives at the weekend. For now all I can say is they are very prompt to repy to emails and I'm impressed so far. Obviously a lot hinges on the tree and its delivery :)

You can pay COD, and they showed flexibility in the price.

There is a place just off Griffith Ave Extension, a stonesthrow from Glasnevin Downs Estate that sells lots of Xmas trees.

That's the place mentioned in post #2 above. Address is Old Finglas Road.

FWIW to anyone else, my tree arrived Saturday evening. Lovely big tree and definitely no regrets about ordering through them. They brought it in and sat it in its stand in the living room, which avoided the usual labouring to get it in place.
