    Hi Folks,
This could be a quick thread. Does anybody know if this BHAA race is cross country? One guy told me it was and another said it wasn't  Anyone doing this one?
    Thanks,

    misty floyd

Assuming it's like the previous years, it's not cross country. Flat park paths, mostly tarmac around the park (maybe 1.5m wide) with a section of unpaved forest track.

Can I just register for this on norning of event? Doing the Jingle Bells Run the day before and if I don't achieve target time of sub 20 then may give this a go....then again maybe that would be too much.

Yes, you can register on the day for the BHAA races, I can't remember how much they are for day members though but sure someone else will be along in a bit with that info.

Lads is it entry on the day only, no online entry?

My memories are unclear how they handled the entries for the fun run and the BHAA race (different entry fees). I think on one side of the registration hall at the GAA club there was a table for BHAA members to register and a bucket for voluntary charity donations, on the other the non-BHAA members with the higher fee and santa suit distribution. All one race once we went to the line. Good luck to all runners.

Fairly certain that it is entry on the day only. Nice race and I enjoyed it last year.

Great run today. Very windy but at least it wasn't raining. PB in the bag for myself : 19:14 by my watch. Those short races are very hard. You want to take the foot off the gas the whole way around. Well done all...lots of smiley heads there today.

Finished in 18:58 myself so must have been only just infront of you. It was a good race, although I didn't feel the best about how I ran. Huge number of people at it as well compared to the usual BHAA numbers which is good. Considering there was another of the same distance on yesterday as well, where are all these people usually?

Just turning up for the races is the easiest way of moving up the rankings with the two I missed so far clashing with the Dublin Novices and Intermediates. No more call ups for the club and I should be turning up for more of the rest of the XC season until we get closer to my marathon date in April.

Agreed you will need to run 8 races to challenge as the divisions are to encourage attendance. Looking at your scores for the 2 you have run you will be close if you can get to as many as possible.
