    Thinking of heading to Bali for a bit of a holiday next year. Has anyone been and what can you tell me about the place.
    I dont want a type of holiday thats like Ibiza or the Algarve. Would like something a bit more laid back, plenty of things to do like water sports, diving treking and so on. Would like to stay in nice enough place on the beach that will not break the bank either.

    Are these things that can be done in Bali or should I be looking at Thailand or Malyasia?

    Thoughts?

    Can I get this moved back to the independat travel forum as I think it will get much more traffic and I wont be going on a package holiday myself.
