Mens jacket size - need help!

    Hi,

    I've found a great jacket online for my partner as a christmas present. Only thing is it's in Japan and I dont know what size he would be in terms of numerical sizes.

    He wears tshirts and jackets in size: medium
    He is 5'9" tall

    Would be great if someone could advise. Does the Irish size medium match the measurements of the medium in this chart provided by the Japanese seller?


    Size Shoulder Chest Total length sleeve
    Medium 44cm 104cm 75cm 63cm
    Large 45cm 106cm 76 64

    I've found a conversion chart which says that Japanese Medium is the same as British size 38. Japanese Large size is the same as British 40.

    Can anyone confirm if Irish / British size medium is 38 put another way?
