I am buying a listed house. Problem is bank wont give me a mortgage because there is a four year old enforcement order to undo some changes made to the building. Bank are suggesting that they need the council to remove the enforcement order before lending. Surely this is unreasonable - most of the changes required by the council have already been completed and I will commit to working with the planners to get the remainder done to their satisfaction.
