Need a door lock fixed....anyone recommend anywhere

Opened the passeenger door of my new banger with the key tonight and now the button wont go down and the door wont lock. I think it must be just disconnected from the lock actuator.

Anyone recommend anywhere to get it fixed?

Any idea of the price?

Its a 96 so dont wanna pay too much.

do you have central locking
i had a problem with my 96 civic saloon rear drivers side door jammed shut
was a seized central locking motor,
you say you opened it with the key so i guess its the front door

yeah have central locking but its not a remote its just a key.

i opened the passenger front door with the key, heard a dull click and didnt think anything of it. but when i got out the door wouldnt lock. button wouldnt move at all. when i lock the car tho it sounds like the actuator is still working the passenger door.

all the other doors work fine. tried loads of things but the button wont budge. when i try the key in the passenger door there is no resistance whatsoever, it turns really lightly.

any ideas?

if i were a betting man
central locking actuator has gone wonky
mine jammed in the closed position and was a total paint to fix,as i had to get the door open first. yours should be easier.

can anyone recommend a cheap garage?

a new lock might be required about 40€ from a scrapper, and then maybe an hour to fit it
