    Hi Guy's,

Was thinking of heading to Samois for the Gypsy jazz/Django festival next year. 2010 will be the 100 year anniversary of Dango's birth and might make the event even a bit more special. Was wondering has anyone on here ever been, and if so, would have any details of travel and accommodation etc,

    Many thanks

Yeah i went back in 2007.

It is absolutely excellent if you are a guitar player of the manouche kind.

My self and few others drove over and stayed on the campsite.
The music never stops 24/7, la pompe - la pompe - la pompe...
Unfortunately when i went i was not totally prepared with a database of tunes!

Some really great jams and you get to play with all different levels in a very friendly environment.

here's a photo of a great little jam in the tree circle in middle of camp site. The weather was great as well.
