We are saving to buy a house and my better half would blow a fuse if I spent what I want to spend on a coffee machine :)

I do like freshly brewed coffee and am hoping i can get something reasonably decent for under €100?, maybe refurb?

If anyone has advice or recommendations I'd appreciate it.
    Thanks.

assuming that you already have a quality grinder then my advice would be to keep an eye on Ebay. Colleague of mine picked up a 4 Month old Gaggia Baby twin class off there the other week for about 105 delivered.

If you don't have a quality grinder then consider getting yourself a Hario hand mill from coffeeangel and an Aeropress. Both will come in at just under 100 and will produce better results than a bad overpriced machine and illy.

I'd second Doodee on this Supercell. You'll be able to enjoy freshly ground, freshly brewed coffee. If you don't have a grinder there's no point in looking at espresso machines.

I usually just buy the coffee in Starbucks (don't shoot me, am a Americano addict) and they grind it up for me there for free. Probably not ideal but a packet doesnt last me too long.

Like the OP l'm after a coffee maker for under €100 that will make an expresso and give me the crema on the top too.

    Any recommendations?

Well I have a Krups Nesspresso espresso machine (say that three times fast:rolleyes:) and to be honest I find it brilliant.

Granted I paid €130 but it's a quality machine, extremely easy to use and produces a gorgeous espresso or lungo every time with a perfect crema and no effort required on your part.

I know the coffee snobs will probably scoff at the capsule system but tbh I couldn't be arsed with all that grinding nonsense.

There is also a wide range of blends and products available for use with it but I don't really drink those frothy milky coffees. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Fair enough if you're happy with nespresso but "grinding nonsense" - serious lol.
