    Soooo...

Just wondering, is this possible? Is the dongles locked in anyway to the Meteor/Eircom network like mobile phones are?

    Cheers

I would have thought that you can unblock them like you can with phones.

Theoretically yes; to do so voids warranty and contract where there is one and is therefore illegal in most cases. None of the networks will allow their devices to be unlocked. Or so I'm told.

No, it doesn't void the contract, it probably won't void the warranty, and it's not illegal. Networks will often give you the unlock code, but maybe only if you're outside contract.

Check out dcunlocker.com to get your modem unlocked, or have a look on eBay, as it's full of people who sell remote unlocks.
