Picked up a savage boarding jacket for €80 or so in the Stephen's Green SC branch.

Billabong snowboard pants €55, other brands around the same

Baggy but light, with a snow skirt around the waist, not sure if they will be any use but they look and feel pretty good.

not a great selection of size small jacets :( - well ones that are not illuminous anyway.

a good range of pants, boarding boots and larger jackets, but haven't been really looking at those so can't comment on price.

Got a Quiksilver Jacket 2 weeks ago for €50. They had ski poles, I wouldn't mind a set of GS poles, not that I really need them! Which store were they in?

Sadly it was last season and nearly all the TK Maxx shops had them. Think the SCI members (especially those with kid racers) Cleaned the place out.

Have been in TK Maxx Carrickmines and Blanchardstown lately and both had DC snowbaording boots. Carrickmines seemed to only have one pair, and the nob off the Boa lace system was missing on both boots, and I don't know if that was intentional or not (for security or some such) - I doubt it. Blanch had a fair few different sizes and some kids sizes too. Couldn't swear to it but think the sizes were 5-8. Price was circa €70 (again, I couldn't swear to it - I didn't know at the time I'd have to write a report for boards!), absolute bargain and some really good boots.

Loads of baselayers for around the 9/10 sterling price range, surfanic, trek mates. Merino wool ones for about 20 sterling. Some single lens goggles for around 16/17, not much in the way of XL but alot there for M/L. Absolute bargains though.

Some nice gloves and ski socks too. All for really good prices.

Didnt look at the jackets too hard, or pants.

TK Maxx in Carrickmines have some snowboards, 130, 140 and 150, for €70. Couldn't vouch for quality but cheap.

Hmmm, I'd be very wary of a €70 snowboard. Could be spray painted MDF for that price. I'd reccomend renting or second hand sooner. Just my two cents.

Oh - was in Kildare shopping village yesterday. Nike didn't have any ski gear that I could see (had GREAT stuff last year) North Face was good, but still kinda pricey. Same with Quicksilver (I saw a fab jacket) and Tog 24 had loads of stuff. Prob best to stick with TK MAXX this year I'd say.

was in carrickmines today. Loads of brand-name jackets. Quiksilver, Billabong, Westbeach (they had one where the print changed when exposed to sunlight) and I even spotted a couple of Volkl bits. Some as cheap as €40. At €70 there was a decent choice of quality gear. One pair of red DC boarding boots. €60ish i think. they were on the size 6-6.5 rail so I'm not sure exactly what size they are.
Also loads of gloves, including Level, Dainese etc for circa €40. Then the usual base layers and socks etc.

Quick question - What is surfanic and Shredz gear like? Looks nice enough and feels decent quality, with good specs. Does anyone here have some, and if so, what do they think of it? A good choice of jackets around the €50-70 mark in tk maxx that I'm considering.
