Hey, I'm sitting these exams in two weeks and am seriously struggling. Anyone got any hints or tips?

hey, sitting them both myself, also struggling. i'm sure like me you are somewhat regretting CHOOSING the two toughest options.
P4, i think Forex risk management is due a big question. after that it's hard to tell, possibly something on option pricing after the recent article which you should defo look at. maybe also a question on interest-rate risk, hopefully something straight forward like FRA's or futures hedging.
not really sure after that, but i'm going to focus on those, along with the usual NPV's/MIRR etc.
look at the article on EVA too, as it's a modern technique that's probably becoming more widely used now and there was an article on that too in SA and it hasn't really been examined that much yet.

P6, meh, who knows. New examiner so our lecturer said the past papers won't even help that much as the new examiner focuses more on technical details rather than the planning aspect like the old examiner.

Im also studying P4 and we have been given the following tips:

    -APV
-BSM model and options pricing, possibly on a start up company
    - An ethical slant on Bob Ryans 'Toxic Assets' article

    Good luck, Im dreading it!

    Group losses for tax?
Does anyone know if it is okay to do your workings in pencil? I reckon for tax I could be changing figures alot and it would look a lot better. Also is it technically correct to refer to CGT for a company or must you say corporation tax resulting from a chargeable gain? Cheers and good luck!

well how did P4 go for peopled?
i did a good qs. 1 but after that i was in trouble. can't believe swaps came up again. i was sure it wouldn't and i had my FRA's, futures contracts and options practiced to bits. hadn't a breeze about the swap.
i thought it was quite a fair paper otherwise, but i'm not sure if i did enough.

    P6 was an unmitigated disaster.
