Is there any way to connect DIT network from home? Not library, shared resources. I need to connect \\offaly.cs.dit.ie.

you can't connect to the servers from at home, gotta go in to the labs. you can get u: drive access through your friendly neighbourhood netsoc. netsoc.dit.ie (feel free to get involved too)

If you wish to access your college drive from home, simply login to NetSoc via Putty or SSH and type udriveconf --new. You'll be asked for your student account details and whether or not you wish to mount StudentDistrib. After running this script your files should be available in the udrive/ or sdist/ directory on your home directory. You can access these files with WinSCP once logged in with PuTTY/SSH. You'll need to run the udriveconf script again when you change your student password.

If you need a NetSoc account please email admins at netsoc.dit.ie.
