well i am a size 20/22 (and short lol) and i am able to ride rides normally....not that i like to really lol. however i've never been to disney land so no idea what their seating is like. i've not met a restraint that doesn't fit yet...but i sooo understand your fear.

and please dont feel embarassed about your size...especially as you're trying to do something about it :) i've always had a problem with my weight too x x

Send an e-mail to Disneyland and ask them what their size and weight restrictions are.

    That's the best advice OP.

There is no point in worrying about something until you have the cold hard facts. And even then, worrying solves nothing..

So as Victor says, send the email.

If it is an issue, i'm sure there are many more activities that don't involve amusement rides.

It's a holiday after all right? So you owe it to yourself to make it the best that you can for yourself. Check out all the info before you go and then you'll be prepared.

I hope you have a great time.:)

    What medication are you on?

I know you claim its a medical issue, but I would imagine this is more of a metabolism issue, if you are going to the gym regularly and not losing weight, you need to rethink you diet.

Look up tips for speeding up the metabolism, it basically involves eating 6 times a day and drinking plenty of water, and oblivious avoiding all sugars, fats, refined carbohydrates and red meat. then on top of that drinking about 4 litres of water a day.

    AND.... Giving up alcohol.

I know the tablets that you are talking, how they stop you from absorbing fat and instead you excreta it. They are not healthy.

anyway, I know this is off topic and I don't mean to lecture, but I figure you would not have made those excuses for your weight if you didn't want to talk about it.

I was at disneyland during the summer and when we went to ride Space Mountain (best ride in the park btw) a really heavy woman had to get off because the restraints wouldnt come down over her, how embarassing, she was gigantic though. i've been to the one in America and over there they have a copy of the ride car outside where you queue so people can check if they can fit into them before they queue, although they didnt have any of those that i remember seeing in the Paris one, it'd proabably depend on the ride tbh, some of them are seatbelt style restains, the rollercoasters are mostly overhead ones that pull down on your shoulders

worked at a theme park in America and there was even cases of kids being too overweight for the rides there! So defo ring them or email them coz it wont be nice asking for a refund...

Please do not give questionable medical advice.

First you ask what medication she is on and then state for a fact that you know.

Now, many medications aren't healthy in themselves, some are outright poisons, but being seriously overweight isn't healthy either. So its for the OP her her medical advisors to strike a balance and decide on the correct course of action, not random people on the internet who don't have all the facts.

I was recently in Disneyworld in Florida. Pretty much all the rides have no restraints as they're not all that boisterous. Space Mountain was closed at the time so I can't give any advice on that. Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain were the only ones that I remember having restraints and that was just a bar that came down very loosely over you.

You should be fine but definitely send an email if you're worried.

I reckon you'll be absolutely fine OP, I went to Disneyland Paris with my friend who's about a size 22/24 and we had no problems at all. I found that the bars were v. loose - I was worried about slipping out, and I've a pretty large set of knockers!

France is different to Florida though. I was in Paris last week at the match for a few days and I didn't see one overweight person. In Florida every second person is overweight.
Saying that I was in Disneyland Paris earlier on this year and I didn't notice any overweight people having problems. I'd imagine if you fit in the aeroplane seat you would fit in the theme park seats.

While i appreciate your suggestions for weight loss and diet regimes, I came on asking for peoples experiences in Disneyland Paris.. not for suggestions for diets. I dont mean to seem rude, but i kinda trust my GP with the advice hes given me and the medication hes given me. An how coudl you possibly know what tablets im talking about when i gave no information about them. Im not mkaing excuses for my weight, im doing something about it and getting the extra help as Ive gotten no results after 8 months.

To everyone else.. thanks for the replies guys. Yeah im about to email them now, Can ya believe i never even thought about that! ha..
its reassuring to hear that people size 22/24 havnt had any problems..
Supose emailing is the only way Il get a clear answer!! thanks everyone!!
anymore experiences would be grateful too! :D

OP pm me if you need any advice about the park itself, was there only a few months ago and had a great time

Similarly I haven't been in Disneyland but have been to a fair few theme parks.
In my bigger days I was about the same size as you and I never had any problems.

Best of luck with the weightloss OP. It's a hard slog but worth it in the end. I'm still not at goal yet but it's already been so worth it :D

    Enjoy your holiday!

Before you even get to the theme park, if you're flying can you fit in an airline seat?
I've no concept of what size 24 is but you can read in the media all the time of people who cannot fit in airline seats.

Maybe you won't have this issues, as I said I don't know what size 24 is.

But it's one thing to consider before you even get there!
