Comic Boxes

My comic room, or box room, is now going to be the new baby's room. Does anybody know where I can get 5 or 6 long comic boxes relatively cheap?

Forbidden planet sell short and long comics boxes, haven't a clue how much they are.

Subcity sell boxes too. Last i checked a small box is a tenner and a long box is 20. they have a facebook page so you send them an email to ask how much exactly they are. But i want a comic tomb from comic oasis. shame they're american tho.

they are boxes that are the exact dimensions to hold standard american size single issue comics. Some people prefer them over just buying any old storage box as the comics won't get bent or worn edges like with a box thats too small or too big or on a shelf. They can also be easier to look through when looking for certain issues.

Of course if you've loads of spare time on your hands you can make your own comic storage like my friend Lee did.

how did your friend get/make those slipcases. i was thinking of moving some of my comics out of long boxes and onto shelves but couldn't see anything suitable.

according to Lee - Created a template then painstakingly drew round it on stiff card, cut, scored creased and glued. Then made the spines by photocopying comic logos and spray mounting them to the spine.

drool. wonder what size card he used, how hard it was to get it right and how long to get it done.

Just to set the record straight our comic boxs are E6.50 for a small box and E10.00 for a large. A long box has never been E20.00 or a small box E10.00. Thanks Rob.

oh, my bad rob. been so long since i bought any that i probably got them mixed up with the comic folders.

a long box can hold up to 300 modern sized comic issues, short box holds half that.
