Are My Parents Legally Separated?

Sorry if this seems like a weird question; my parents have not lived together for nearly 20 years and my father in that time has lived in Australia.

They never made any agreement about separating etc

Are they still considered legally married? Are they still considered each other's spouse etc?

Taking it that you read the forum charter and fully, fully understand that legal advice is not available on this forum.

Question 1. - They are still legally married in this jurisdiction; and
    Question 2. - Yes, technically.

Now, any further questions and you might consider hiring a solicitor in the jurisdiction which is most convenient for the parent or spouse who is wishing to move on with their life etc.

    Thanks,

    Tom
